Supplier Diversity Privacy Notice

We’re building an inclusive value chain

Creating economic opportunities is one of the most important ways to build an inclusive world. This is why we’re committed to fostering an inclusive value chain and purchasing from suppliers that represent the diversity of the communities in which we operate.

Respecting our suppliers’ privacy

As part of the social commitments we’ve made through the Unilever Compass (PDF 501.03 KB), we’ve set a goal to proactively increase spend with diverse businesses. We class businesses as diverse if they are at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by minority groups, women, LGBTQI+, people with disabilities or veterans.

To measure progress on our goal, we need to collect particular data on our suppliers. This data will help us to understand, measure and promote diversity among our suppliers.

Our Supplier Diversity Privacy Notice

To reassure suppliers that we’re respecting the privacy of their personal data and handling it with the utmost care, in 2022 we created our Supplier Diversity Privacy Notice.

It’s an important foundation of our approach and details the type of data we collect, what we will use it for and how we will handle it. It also explains suppliers’ rights regarding their data.

This Notice applies to Unilever’s diverse suppliers who may share any personal data with us. It explains why and how we collect and process personal data worldwide.
