Fight poverty by volunteering with Oxfam

The issue

Oxfam is a global movement of millions of people working together to end poverty. And all those people share the same belief – that, in a world rich in resources, poverty isn't inevitable. In just 15 years, extreme poverty has been halved, and Oxfam wants to end it for good in the next 15. But they can’t do it alone.

What can we do about it?

Giving your time can help Oxfam raise life-saving funds to fight poverty around the world – in Oxfam shops, at festivals, in schools and much more. If you can spare just a few hours a week to volunteer, you could make a real contribution to Oxfam's work to end poverty.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of Oxfam. From window dressing to working behind the till, sorting donations to organising pop-up events, there’s something for everyone.

And with over 22,000 volunteers already part of our team in the UK, it's just like joining one big family who want to make a difference. Join our team of inspiring volunteers and play your part in fighting poverty.
